Saint John police arrested a 37-year-old woman last week for possessing a stolen vehicle that she kept at her home.
Police responded to the 800-block of Manawagonish on Wednesday afternoon about a person trespassing on private property.
Officials said the homeowner received a notification from their video surveillance system which told them someone was on the property.
“The first officer arrived on scene and located a vehicle in the yard that did not belong to the homeowner,” police said in a statement.
“The vehicle had allegedly been reported stolen earlier in the day.”
The force said additional officer responded and arrested a female suspect in an area nearby.
She was released and will appear in court on July 9.
