If you know any information about a shooting on Saint John’s west side, city police want to hear from you.
The Saint John Police Force issued a news release Saturday, seeking witnesses, video footage and information following a Friday night shooting.
Police said officers responded at about 8:31 p.m. to a report of shots fired into a building in the 100-block of Guilford Street.
“Within minutes, an officer on patrol in the area located and stopped a suspect vehicle on Guilford Street near Ludlow Street,” said spokesperson Sean Rocca in the release.
“The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and found in possession of two pellet guns, a loaded shotgun, ammunition, and a controlled substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine.”
Rocca said one window was damaged, and added that several people were inside the building at the time.
No one was injured, Rocca said, police do not believe this was a random act of violence.
Investigators arrested two men, aged 25 and 48, a 43-year-old woman, were arrested on weapon, drug and mischief charges.
A 17-year-old youth was also arrested.
Rocca said all four accused have been released with conditions that require them to return to court at a later date.
The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate, said Rocca. Detectives are looking to speak with witnesses or anyone who may have video footage of the incident.
