A 38-year-old Saint John woman is facing charged for allegedly trafficking cocaine and breaching court-ordered conditions, police said Thursday.
Investigators said in a news release that officers stopped a vehicle early Wednesday afternoon on Loch Lomond Road.
It was a routine traffic stop led by the Saint John Police Force’s Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit and Emergency Tactical Services
Spokesperson Sean Rocca said the 38-year-old female driver was found to be in possession of 16 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and cash.
He said the woman appeared in court Thursday, charged with possession cocaine for trafficking purposes and possession of proceeds obtained by crime.
The accused, who has not been identified by police, also faces two counts of breaching a court order.
“She was remanded to custody and is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 28, 2023, for a bail hearing,” said Rocca.
