Few details released regarding Saint John fire

There are few details about an early morning fire in Saint John’s old north end.

Saint John Fire confirmed in a Facebook post Saturday afternoon that six crews responded to a two-alarm fire early Saturday on Victoria Street.

“Firefighters worked to extinguish fire on two floors of the building,” reads the post from Saint John Firefighters.

Photos of the building’s exterior show what appears to be significant damage to its interior.

Rescuers said there were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been made publicly available at this time.
