A 34-year-old Saint John man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a backhoe from a business on the city’s side.
The New Brunswick RCMP received a report last week alleging that a backhoe had been stolen from a unnamed business on Golden Grove Road.
Police say a 34-year-old male suspect was arrested on Aug. 3, the day the alleged theft occurred, in connection with the investigation.
“The backhoe has since been recovered and returned to the owner,” said Sgt. Tyson Nelson of the Hampton RCMP.
Investigators say the man has since been released, but has a court appearance scheduled for Sept. 13.
