St. Stephen man wanted on two warrants arrested

A St. Stephen man is in custody after police issued arrest warrants for failing to appear before a judge.

Joshua Ryan Gibson, 27, is facing charges of theft under $5,000, and break and enter with intent.

When he failed to appear for his court date on July 26, police issued a warrant for his arrest. A second warrant was issued on July 28.

Gibson was believed to be armed and dangerous.

“On August 8, members of the West District RCMP located and arrested Joshua Ryan Gibson in a rural area north of St. Stephen,” said Sgt. Chris Henderson of the New Brunswick RCMP.

Investigators say Gibson is scheduled to appear in Saint John Provincial Court on Thursday morning for a bail hearing.
