Flair to launch flight from Saint John to Orlando by January

New Brunswickers will be able to catch a direct flight to Florida as early as next year.

Flair Airlines, an ultra-low-cost airline, announced Tuesday it is launching a new direct flight from Saint John to Orlando starting on Jan. 23, 2024. Officials say the flight will run once a week.

Saint John is one of 13 new routes being added to Flair’s winter schedule.

“Everyone at Saint John Airport is thrilled to have Flair flying non-stop to Orlando! It is an unbeatable price, which makes it so appealing to families,” said Lori Carle, manager of Marketing, Public and Corporate Relations at the Saint John Airport.

“We believe the people of Saint John will flock to this opportunity just like they have to Flair’s Toronto flights.”

Stephen Jones, president and CEO of Flair Airlines, said Canadians eagerly await more affordable flight options to sun destinations this winter. He said the additions allow travellers to “create their own getaway” without breaking the bank.

“With exceptional operational performance this summer and increased depth in our network this winter, Canadians can travel in confidence to the destinations that excite them most,” he said.

“This will be our most robust network to sun ever.”

Other routes have also been added to the Cancun, Las Vegas and Orlando-Sanford airports through Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Winnipeg, Windsor and Victoria.

The airline says ticket prices between Saint John and Orlando start at $59.
