Saint John man on the lam since March arrested Friday

A Saint John man who has been wanted on a Canada-wide warrant since March for breaching parole conditions is back in custody.

Nathan Pomeroy, 42, was serving a nearly three-year sentence for 14 counts of theft and failing to comply, assault and other charges when he violated the conditions of his day parole in March.

Police say he was living at a community correctional centre in the city.

After a months-long search, police confirmed over the weekend that Pomeroy was arrested late Friday night from the city’s north end.

“Officers … arrested the accused without incident,” police said in a Sunday morning statement.

“He was held in custody.”
