The Saint John city police are reminding the public that officers will conduct a city-wide special traffic campaign during the Roll Call Car Show taking place at TD Station over the weekend.
Police say the event on Saturday is expected to draw thousands of spectators and hundreds of participants from across the Maritimes.
“The Saint John Police appreciates that this is an exciting experience for many car enthusiasts from across the region. It is our focus to ensure an enjoyable, safe environment for our citizens and visitors alike,” said Chief Robert Bruce in a statement.
Investigators say officers from Saint John Police and the Kennebecasis Valley, as well as officials from New Brunswick’s Justice and Public Safety, will watch for offenders using the following approaches:
- Traffic entering and exiting the venue will be controlled
- City-wide zero-tolerance patrols
- Checkpoints with a focus on impaired driving
Police encourage residents to have a good time, but obey the law while doing so.
