An investigation into drug trafficking in New Brunswick and Ontario resulted in four men being charged.
The New Brunswick said Friday that charges were laid between January and March concerning the investigation, which began in the spring of 2021.
“Throughout the course of the investigation, police seized approximately 18 kilograms of cocaine, 3.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and $454,000 in cash,” reads a statement from the New Brunswick RCMP.
Police say charges have been laid against 29-year-old Kaywan Mezbani, 41-year-old Mehran Ahmadbeigi, 48-year-old Dennis Burbridge, and 26-year-old Raeshaun Miller.
All four face counts of possessing cocaine for trafficking purposes, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, and commissioning an offence for a criminal organization, among other charges.
Police did not indicate when the men will return to court but said the investigation, led by the RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, is ongoing.
