Two arrested after Bathurst home invasion

Two men were arrested in Bathurst Thursday morning after police received a 911 call about a home invasion.

The Bathurst Police Force says the caller told dispatchers that two armed men had forced their way into a home in West Bathurst.

“Officers of the Bathurst Police Force located and arrested the two male suspects shortly thereafter,” officers said on Facebook.

Investigators are now asking residents to stay vigilant, as they suspect other homes and businesses may have also been targeted.

“Police are asking all residents of the City of Bathurst to verify their property to ensure nothing was stolen or damaged overnight,” the force said.

The investigation remains ongoing.
