New Brunswickers who plan to pursue post-secondary education this fall can now begin the process of applying for student loans.
Officials say applications for student financial assistance through provincial and federal programs are now open for the 2023-24 school year.
Maximum weekly amounts for the New Brunswick Student Loan have increased to $200, while the New Brunswick Bursary went up to $160.
More than 13,000 students received the New Brunswick Loan last year. Over 4,000 received the New Brunswick Bursary.
The province says applicants should send in applications early so staff have time to review them and request additional information or documentation.
Applications for student financial assistance are available online.
