One of Canada’s most popular discount stores is expanding its presence in Saint John this year.
Giant Tiger announced on its website that is opening six new locations in eastern Canada, including one in east Saint John this November.
“Giant Tiger provides giant value, giant savings and convenience to the neighbourhoods we serve,” reads the status update on Giant Tiger’s website.
“We’re proud to announce that a new Giant Tiger will be coming to these neighbourhoods soon.”
Giant Tiger already operates a location at the Prince Edward Square shopping mall in the city’s uptown.
The company says the new Saint John store will be located at 450 Westmorland Road, the same location as the Walmart Supercentre.
Opening day is slated for Nov. 4.
Founded in 1961, Giant Tiger operates more than 260 stores across Canada.
