The Minto RCMP needs the public’s help solving a hit-and-run investigation involving a taxi cab.
A press release says the incident took place around 10 p.m. on March 17 in Richibucto Road, N.B., located near Fredericton’s north side. That’s where, police say, someone rear-ended a taxi as they made a turn at the intersection of Homestead Drive and Highway 10.
Officers say the driver fled the scene.
“The suspect vehicle was seen driving away from the incident going east-bound on Highway 10,” reads a press release from the Minto RCMP. “The incident was reported to police that same evening.”
Mounties have released little information about the incident other than a vague description of the suspect’s vehicle, which they believe was a dark pickup truck with an unknown license plate.
Anyone who witnessed this hit and run, or who may have information about the incident, is asked to contact the Minto RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
