A northern New Brunswick snowmobile crash claimed the life of a 64-year-old Kedgwick man over the Easter weekend, police said Sunday.
First responders got a call late Saturday afternoon about a single-snowmobile crash near Little Main Road in Kedgwick River, south of Campbellton.
“The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree,” said Saint-Quentin RCMP Sgt. Yannick Gagnon in a statement.
“The driver and sole occupant of the snowmobile, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.”
Ambulance New Brunswick, the Kedgwick Fire Department and New Brunswick’s Department of Natural Resources also responded to the crash.
Police say an autopsy will determine the victim’s exact cause of death.
