No one was injured after a two-vehicle collision on Saturday night in the city of Saint John’s uptown core.
Officers responded at around 9:26 p.m. to the crash on King Street at Germain Street.
“Two trucks collided with each other in the intersection causing substantial damage to the trucks as well as a fire hydrant and utility pole,” reads a release from the Saint John Police Force.
City police say a 46-year-old man and 10-year-old child occupied one truck, while a 55-year-old man drove the other.
Investigators say they arrested the 55-year-old man for impaired driving.
He now has a court date and has been released from custody.
