A provincial court judge sentenced a 37-year-old Campbellton man to two years in prison Monday for breaking into a Bathurst radio station last year.
François Ratté faced 10 charges mostly related to a string of break and enters, and thefts that took place between August 2021 and January 2022.
His charges included failing to comply with a court order, theft under $5,000, mischief and breaking and entering to steal a firearm.
Bathurst Provincial Court Judge Brigitte Sivret said the accused was a repeat offender and was familiar to the courts.
In 2013, he pled guilty to a string of thefts in the Saint John area and served an almost-three-year prison sentence.
Ratté has been behind bars since January 2022 after he broke into Bounce 104.9, a radio station in Bathurst, where he stole a safe and a TV.
He will serve his time at the Dalhousie Regional Correctional Centre, where he has spent the last year.
