Help Sought In Finding Christmas Eve Robbery Suspect

It’s a crime only the grinchiest Grinch could commit.

An armed robbery that took place on Christmas Eve at a business in Atholville has the Campbellton RCMP asking for the public’s help.

Mounties say a man entered a business on Jagoe Street at around 11:55 a.m. while allegedly brandishing a knife.

He allegedly stolen merchandise and fled the scene before police arrived. Police say no one was injured.

“Police are releasing surveillance footage photos in hopes that, despite the quality, someone may recognize the individual,” said the Campbellton RCMP in a statement.

Investigators describe the suspect as a man in his mid-20s who had a slender build and dark facial hair. He wore a black jacket, grey pants and orange toque.

Anyone who recognizes the individual, or who has any information that could help, should contact the Campbellton RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
