First responders in the Grand Bay-Westfield area made a daring off-road rescue Saturday following an ATV collision.
The Welsford and Grand Bay-Westfield fire departments responded just after 5 p.m. on Highway 102 near Exit 80.
“As a result of an ATV Collision, unified command was established at Exit 80 and an off road rescue crew from each department deployed from the command area with a possibility of two injured persons,” reads a Facebook post from the Welsford Fire Department.
Emergency crews say rescuers brought the injured ATV riders to nearby ambulances to receive treatment for non life threatening injuries.
