A Moncton provincial court judge charged two suspects Friday after a firearms incident at an area home that left one man with serious injuries.
Codiac RCMP received a report at around 9:05 p.m. Thursday about a man who was shot and sustained a number of gunshot wounds outside a home on Lutz Street.
Mounties say emergency crews took the man to hospital with what they believe to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
“A short time later, police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Botsford Road and Mountain Road, in connection with the investigation,” said Codiac RCMP Sgt. Mathieu Roy in a statement.
“A 36-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.”
Justin LeClair, of Riverview, and Crystal Cormier, of Moncton, appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on Friday, where they both received attempted murder charges.
Justice officials remanded the pair into police custody before their next scheduled court date on Monday afternoon.
