Police in Saint John seek the public’s help in their latest investigation into a break-and-enter at a mosque that resulted in a donation bin being stolen.
Abu Huraira Masjid, also known as the Mosque of IRCC at 370 Somerset Street, was broken into between 5:00 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 27, according to investigators.
“A donation bin containing a quantity of currency was stolen from the building,” reads a news release from the Saint John Police Force.
“The Major Crime Unit is currently investigating.”
Police are now asking for the public’s help in their investigation.
Witnesses or anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force or they can submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
