Fredericton Police Cuff Man On Canada-Wide Warrant

Fredericton police arrested a 33-year-old man Thursday evening after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.

A post on Twitter said officers conducted an investigation around the Silverwood/Islandview area and asked the public to avoid that part of the city’s south side.

Police said in a release on Friday officers arrested 33-year-old Callum McGraw, of Fredericton, without incident at around 8:30 p.m.

The force’s emergency response, crisis negotiation and tactical emergency medical teams assisted in the arrest, as well as scribes and investigators from the Major Crime Unit.

Police also deployed a drone from the Forensic Identification Team and made use of the New Brunswick RCMP’s K-9 unit.
