Charges Laid Following Dalhousie Gas Station Robbery

A man and woman appeared in Campbellton Provincial Court Wednesday to face charges following a robbery at a gas station in Dalhousie, N.B.

Police say they responded around 5:55 a.m. on Tuesday to a panic alarm at a gas station on Renfrew Street. When officers arrived, they learned a man and a woman had entered the business and left.

“A short time later, the woman entered the business again and handed a note to the cashier demanding money,” said Campbellton RCMP Cpl. Raphael Vézina in a statement.

“She then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident.”

Mounties arrested a 32-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman later that morning.

Kylee Gibson, of Dalhousie, and Marcus Ivan Edmond Hickey, of Charlo, went before a provincial court judge on Wednesday, where they were charged with robbery.

Police say the Crown remanded Gibson and Hickey into custody before their next court date on Feb. 6.
