Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 28-year-old Saint John man charged with first degree murder.
Officers issued the warrant for Evan Louis Tobias at 11:25 a.m.
“He is asked to turn himself into police immediately,” the force said in a news release.
“Do not approach the accused.”
Four other men remain in police custody following the Aug. 17 murder of 39-year-old Justin Breau at a Charles Street apartment in the city’s uptown.
Investigators say 47-year-old Charles William Shatford appeared in court this week on a charge of first-degree murder and was remanded to jail until Feb. 10.
Three other men, aged 24, 32 and 50 were also accused of having a hand in Breau’s death and remain in custody.
Police say Tobias is described as six feet tall tall, with a medium build, black curly hair and brown eyes.
He also has a tattoo on his left cheek and above his right eye.
Anyone with information on Evan Tobias’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
