It was a tense Friday morning for residents of a trailer park in Hanwell, N.B., near Fredericton after a report of shots fired on Leafwood Drive.
The New Brunswick RCMP says Mounties and the Fredericton Police Force arrived at the Hanwell Trailer Park at around 4:30 a.m.
First responders took two individuals to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Two individuals have been arrested following a shooting incident and an Alert Ready in the Hanwell, N.B. area.
Fredericton police arrested one person at the scene, while a 22-year-old man fled the scene in a vehicle. He was arrested later that day in the Longs Creek area, just off of Highway 2.
Names of those arrested were not released. No charges have been laid as of yet.
Cpl. Hans Ouellette said police told residents in the area of the trailer park to stay in their homes, but they can now return. He says this is still an active investigation.
