A shooting that took place on the north side of Fredericton last week led to police issuing a warrant for a 21-year-old male suspect.
The Fredericton Police Force says responded to Riverside Drive on Nov. 7 where they found a woman shot in the leg. She was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.
Police say they believe the shooting was not a random act.
The Major Crime Unit have issued a warrant for Jacob James Phillips, who is charged with the following:
- Discharging a firearm with intent
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Aggravated assault
- Breach of an undertaking
Phillips is described as five feet nine inches tall and around 160 pounds and has short, dark hair and a dark goatee.
