Mounties Investigate Pair Of Thefts From Businesses

The New Brunswick RCMP is asking for the public’s help in its investigation regarding a pair of thefts that took place at businesses in Oromocto and Atholville.

Mounties say they were called on Sept. 14, at 3:30 p.m., to the Shoppers Drug Mart on Onondaga Street in Oromocto, where a woman allegedly stole a large quantity of perfume.

Police also responded on Sept. 26, at around 4:30 p.m., to Atlantic Superstore on Savoie Avenue in Atholville, where a man entered and allegedly left with several hundred dollars of stolen goods.

Officers claim when a store employee approached the suspect in the parking lot, the man immediately fled the scene in a black SUV.

Police are now appealing to the public for help in both cases by releasing surveillance images of the two suspects.

The man appears bald and wore prescription glasses, a light-coloured button-up shirt and a dark jacket at the time. He fled the scene in an early 2010’s black Hyundai SUV.

The woman appears to have long blonde hair and wore a pink tank top at the time of the theft.

Anyone who recognizes either individual, or has information that could help further the investigation, can contact the New Brunswick RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
