Outrage from a Saint John city councillor after an act of vandalism over the weekend.
Saint John Police responded shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday to Forest Hills School, where officers discovered the playground on fire.
Vandals also damaged a number of windows at the school, officers said.
Police say the Saint John Fire Department extinguished the blaze and no injuries were reported.
Paula Radwan, a city councillor for Ward 4 in east Saint John, took to Twitter to express her frustration.
“I am so angry to see that someone burnt the kids’ playground equipment at Forest Hills School and put out a bunch of windows,” said Radwan.
Any witnesses, or those with information about the vandalism, can contact the Saint John Police Force.
