Police in Fredericton said Wednesday that officers arrested three men who now face charges in connection to a serious assault that occurred on Windsor Street over the weekend.
Police said the incident happened in the early morning of Sept. 25. A 20-year-old male from Fredericton was attacked by several others and sustained “serious injuries.”
He remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.
The incident launched a joint investigation between Fredericton Police and UNB Security.
Investigators said Wednesday the Crown charged all three with aggravated assault. One of the men has also been charged with uttering threats.
The three have been released on conditions and will appear in court in December, adding that more arrests are expected.
