The New Brunswick RCMP’s major crime unit announced Thursday afternoon that the suspicious death of a man in Rollingdam, N.B. was a homicide.
Emergency crews, including the Saint George RCMP and Ambulance New Brunswick, responded Wednesday morning to a report of an unresponsive man.
Police later found 32-year-old Steven Cook dead at the scene.
“An autopsy was scheduled to help determine the man’s exact cause of death, and the police investigation has now determined that the man’s death was a result of a homicide,” said New Brunswick RCMP.
Mounties want to speak to anyone who lives in the area, has video surveillance or trail camera footage, or witnessed suspicious activity between Aug. 29 and Aug. 31.
