A 43-year-old Campbellton man has been charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine after an investigation in the area.
Mounties executed a targeted traffic stop on July 12 at around 11:30 a.m., on Highway 11 as part of an ongoing drug-trafficking investigation.
The RCMP Provincial Crime Reduction Unit and Campbellton RCMP Detachment assisted in the investigation.
A 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene after police seized quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, methamphetamine pills and money.
Officers also seized more drugs and drug-trafficking paraphernalia, including digital scales and hidden compartment containers, at around 10 p.m. that day from a home on Dover Street.
James Aaron St-Onge appeared in Campbellton Provincial Court by way of tele-remand on July 13 and was charged with possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for trafficking.
He was remanded into custody and returned to court on July 18 for a bail hearing.
