Saint John Sea Dogs Win 2022 Memorial Cup

The Saint John Sea Dogs have won the 2022 Memorial Cup, defeating the Hamilton Bulldogs 6-3 to clinch the national junior hockey title.

It is the second time the Sea Dog took home the cup after the 2011 competition in Mississauga, Ont.

New York Islanders prospect William Dufour scored the winning goal and was crowned Memorial Cup MVP, leading the tournament with seven goals and one assist in four games.

Hockey officials say a parade will be held Thursday to celebrate Saint John’s win.
