Saint John Police Arrest Five After East Side Break-In

Several men were arrested by Saint John Police early on Tuesday morning after an attempted break and enter on the city’s east side.

Officers were called to a home on Boyaner Crescent shortly after midnight on Tuesday to a report of several armed men trying to break inside. When police arrived at the scene, the suspects fled in a black SUV.

It’s believed the suspects are known to the homeowners.

After a brief car chase on Loch Lomond Road, police arrested five men and seized two imitation firearms and a baseball bat from inside the vehicle.

All five appeared before a provincial court judge on May 17, where they answered to forcible entry and weapon-related offenses.

An investigation remains ongoing, so anyone with information on the break and enter can contact the Saint John Police Force or Crime Stoppers.
