Woodstock police have confirmed that a body found in the Wolastoq (Saint John River) over the weekend is that of 22-year-old Shea McKay.
McKay was reported missing to police on April 7.
Police say they received a call on May 14 about a body floating in the river near Bulls Creek. An autopsy conducted on Monday confirmed McKay’s identity.
“On behalf of Woodstock Police Force and our entire community, we would like to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to Shea’s family and friends during this difficult time,” read a statement from Woodstock police.
Officers do not suspect foul play in McKay’s death.
