Emergency crews in the Moncton area spent several hours Sunday afternoon fighting a grass fire along the Riverfront Trail.
Moncton firefighters arrived at the scene around 4 p.m.
Dry conditions and high winds helped fuel the flames, with reports of smoke being seen kilometres away.
Crews brought the fire under control nearly three hours after they arrived.
An investigation into the blaze remains ongoing.
First responders remind residents that the southeastern part of New Brunswick is currently under a fire ban.
