Two Arrested, Drugs Seized After Perth-Andover Home Search

Two people were arrested and several items were seized from a home in Perth-Andover, N.B.

The New Brunswick RCMP searched a home shortly before a.m. on April 29 at West Riverside Drive. Police seized what’s believed to be crack cocaine, fentanyl, crystal meth and oxycodone pills.

They also seized a prohibited firearm, a loaded handgun magazine, bear spray, a baseball bat and a small amount of cash.

Police say 31-year-old Janet Holmes is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm.

She also faces several additional offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm

Meanwhile, 30-year-old Justin Curran was charged with failure to comply with the conditions of an undertaking.

He also faces the following charges:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm

Curran is scheduled to return to court on May 17.

The arrest took place as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, which remains ongoing.

The RCMP asks anyone who suspects illegal drug activity in their neighbourhoods to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
