Nobody was hurt after a train derailment in Harvey Station, N.B., early Thursday morning.
The incident took place around 5 a.m. on Thursday in the village 40 kilometres southwest of Fredericton. Ten train cars went off the tracks, but nine were empty. One train car is leaking lime, but the material is not toxic.
The New Brunswick RCMP says the derailment has forced the closure of Route 3 near Cedar Lane.
Traffic is being diverted using Route 636 until the road reopens later today.
Currently no word on what caused the derailment, but officials with the New Brunswick Southern Railway are investigating the scene.
