A transport truck driver jammed an 18-wheeler early Friday morning under the underpass leading to the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge in downtown Fredericton, N.B.
Police responded to the call shortly before 1 a.m. on April 22.
The force says there were no injuries, but there was significant damage to the truck’s trailer.
City of Fredericton Roadway Operations checked the bridge for damage and found nothing of concern.
Police say these incidents are a common sight in the downtown area, occurring about once or twice per year.
The driver has not been charged.
