The New Brunswick RCMP is warning businesses in the Greater Moncton area about credit card scams.
Officers say two flooring companies suffered significant losses after falling victim to fraud between last November and December.
Both instances involved a person placing a large order by phone using several credit cards. Business owners were later notified that the cards were stolen after merchandise was picked up by a third-party delivery service and transported to Quebec.
The RCMP says it continues to investigate both incidents to determine if they are connected.
Mounties are asking business owners who have fallen victim to similar frauds to contact local police.
