Sussex residents who need to visit an emergency room this weekend might face some temporary closures.
The Horizon Health Network says the ER at the Sussex Health Centre will close at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and reopen on Sunday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
“The Emergency Department will not be seeing patients and clients during the temporary closures and ambulances will be diverted to other hospitals,” Horizon wrote in a news release.
“All patients and clients requiring urgent medical care will need to seek treatment at another hospital.”
Regular 24-hour service will resume on Monday at 7:30 a.m.
This comes after similar ER closures last weekend and in late March.
Horizon says the closures are related to a shortage of nurses.
