The Province of New Brunswick says it will hold an inquest into the death of Steven Corey Lutes this summer.
Lutes, who worked for Lead Structural Formwork Ltd., died on Jan 30, 2017, after he was injured on a construction site in Fredericton.
Acting Chief Coroner Robert Belliveau says the inquest is scheduled at the Saint John Law Courts for June 27 to 29.
Presiding coroner Emily Caissy and a jury will hear eyewitness testimony to determine the facts surrounding Lutes’s death.
The jury will then have the chance to make recommendations to prevent similar deaths.
Measures will be in place to ensure the public complies with COVID-19 health regulations.
This inquest was announced under Section 7(b) of the Coroners Act.
