Officials from the Correctional Service of Canada say they seized a package containing contraband and other unauthorized items at Dorchester Penitentiary.
The prison service confirmed the package was seized on April 9.
The confiscated items include 172 millilitres of THC oil, 164 grams of THC, 50 grams of marijuana, 49 grams of tobacco, eight grams of crystal meth, a cell phone and a charger.
Officials say its estimated street value is about $260,000.
The prison has since notified the police, who are now part of the investigation.
Dorchester Penitentiary is a federal men’s prison that can hold up to 700 prisoners.
